The Body Image Workshop
Body Image Workshop Learning Outcomes:
In these workshops, attendees will learn how to assess for body image in their clients, review the most up-to-date research related to body image and develop specific clinical interventions based on common intersecting constructs, which include eating disorders, mindfulness, self-compassion and acceptance and commitment therapy. The fundamentals of this workshop are infused with the principles of Health At Every Size. Additionally, these workshops are highly interactive and will integrate small group work, informal clinical supervision and ample time for dialog.
Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:
1. Accurately explain the process to assess for client's body image utilizing peer-reviewed body image assessment scales and interviewing techniques.
2. Describe, in detail, at least two strengths and limitations of current body image research.
3. List five examples of clinical tools that help heal an individual's negative body image.
